Rumors claim that Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho aren’t on talking terms. But Manchester United officials have denied the claims, insisting their relationship is ‘good’.
Earlier this week, several reports suggested that there has been a big bust up between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba. According to The Sun, The United boss asked the player to refrain from talking about internal issues to the media and said to submit a transfer request if he wishes to leave Old Trafford.
Paul Pogba was angered by this and asked the manager to speak to his agent if he needs to speak to him henceforth. This indicated that the relationship between them was at an all-time low.
Throughout this summer, Mino Raiola has been pushing the midfielder to make a move away from Manchester United. The Red Devils rejected an offer from Barcelona in August, a few days before the English transfer deadline. Ernesto Valverde believes that he is the player who could replace Andres Iniesta at Camp Nou.
Today, Manchester United have denied the rumors suggesting a rift between Mourinho and Paul Pogba, through a report in Sky Sports. The Red Devils have called the claims as ‘absolutely nonsense’ and revealed that the relationship hasn’t faced any difficulties in recent times.
But is it true?
Paul Pogba stopped the reporters thrice last week and spoke about his situation at Manchester United. It clearly looked like something is wrong between him and the club. The 25-year old suggested that a fine could be imposed if he talked about the issues.
“If you’re not happy, you cannot give your best,”
“There are things that I cannot say otherwise I will get fined.”
Manchester United are in a vulnerable position at the moment. They could still lose their best player as clubs can still splash the cash around Europe.
The club officials have decided to squash the rumors before it instigates Pogba to leave Old Trafford. This tactic could be a clear indication of a huge disagreement between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba over the past few days.
Jose Mourinho is also trying his best to keep the midfielder happy at the club. The French International missed United’s pre-season tour as he recovered from his successful campaign at the World Cup. But Paul Pogba shocked the fans and made an early return. He was named in the starting XI against Leicester City on Saturday and Mourinho handed him the captain’s armband for the game.
It will be interesting to see how this pans out. Will Paul Pogba leave Manchester United this summer? Or will Jose Mourinho manage to settle this dispute? Comment Below.
