Chelsea came out as convincing winners out of the London Derby by a 3-2 score. Let’s have a look at their player ratings!

Chelsea won a dramatic game against Arsenal with a 3-2 score line. The Blues went 2-0 up within the opening twenty five minutes, thanks to goals from Pedro and Alvaro Morata. The Gunners responded when Henrikh Mkhitaryan pulled a goal back with a scorching left footed finish. Alex Iwobi then grabbed the equalizer before the first half ended.

Arsenal then looked to have kept Chelsea at bay in the second half and earned the season’s first Premier League point. However, Marcos Alonso had other ideas in his head and scored through Petr Cech’s legs to give the Blues a 3-2 win. A thrilling encounter ended at the Stamford Bridge with Chelsea taking the spoils. Let’s take a look at the Blues’ player ratings!

Kepa Arrizabalaga – 6/10

The world’s most expensive goalkeeper did not have much work to do in his debut at the Stamford Bridge. He was thwarted twice by Mkhitaryan and Iwobi and should have done much better to get a palm onto the former Manchester United midfielder’s shot.

He also squandered a catch at first try which almost came into the feet of Alexandre Lacazette. The former Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper did shine on his debut against Huddersfield Town and is expected to do some breath taking things this season.

He has the pressure of carrying the qualities of Petr Cech and Thibaut Courtois on his shoulders and this seems just like the ideal start. Thankfully, his Chelsea team did end up winning and he was saved from the media’s harsh words.
