Eden Hazard – 7/10

The Belgian was one of the double switches made by Maurizio Sarri on the hour mark. The left winger had an instant impact on the game and was causing lots of problems to the Arsenal defence. He came on along with Mateo Kovacic and showed great link up with the Real Madrid loanee in the final third. Hazard teed up Marcos Alonso for the third of the match, which was also the game winner.

Mateo Kovacic – 6/10

More from Chelsea FC

The World Cup‘s silver medalist made his official Chelsea debut today when he came on for Ross Barkley. Following the Englishman’s substitution, the Croatian did beautifully to run the play for the remaining half an hour of the match. Kovacic showed brilliant dribbling and formed a strong bridge between the defense and attack in his very first appearance in Blue.

Olivier Giroud – 4/10

He came on for Alvaro Morata in the final moments of the game. During the final attack of the evening, the Frenchman was in a 2v1 situation with Eden Hazard by his side. He still was unable to finish and ended the game in the classic ‘Olivier Giroud’ manner.

Maurizio Sarri – 8/10

Chelsea’s new boss got everything spot on today. The former Napoli boss got his tactics brilliantly sorted. His instruction to play the full backs extremely wide and playing the ball out from the back helped Chelsea in getting two of the three goals. Sarri is a tactical genius and is making Sarriball work to great results in England.
