Loris Karius has suffered a tough few months, but he may get a chance to refresh with Liverpool being in talks with Besiktas.
Playing at a club the size of Liverpool, you need to give your all in each and every game. Particularly in a Champions League final, a competition the Reds have never taken lightly. Unfortunately, Karius has just about the worst performance anybody could have in a final, as he gave two easy goals to Real Madrid.
This created quite the backlash, with many Liverpool fans calling for him to be sold. It led to Liverpool drawing up a shortlist of potential replacements, in which they signed Alisson of Roma. Now, reports from the Mirror are suggesting that he could be sold to Besiktas.
Leaving on a high.

It could be worse for Karius. Had he been sold following the Champions League final, he wouldn’t have received half the respect he will receive now. With Liverpool’s appointment if Alisson, they are focused on their domestic and European campaign and have no reason to give Karius a bad send off.
In fact, in pre-season, he actually received immense support from the travelling Merseyside supporters. This will feel good for him, and he will use it as encouragement to make up for his errors should he travel to Turkey.
Liverpool fans’ passion can often lead to reactionary behaviour, which is all part of the game. Karius will understand this, and being his own harshest critic, he’s not going to hold any grudge against the Kop faithful.
Liverpool are in safe hands.
Signing Alisson is a huge statement of intent by Liverpool. The Reds have been crying for a good goalkeeper for many years, being cursed with Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius in recent history.
Alisson offers something new to the table. Not only is he a more than able goalkeeper, but he’s also very good with the ball at his feet. As playing out from the back only grows in popularity throughout the Premier League, it’s good to see Liverpool have a goalkeeper who is not as inept. This has worked for Manchester City with Ederson, so why won’t it with Liverpool?
Allow me to rephrase that – obviously, The Reds aren’t going to win the league solely on a goalkeeper who can pass, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction.
Do you think selling Loris Karius to Besiktas is the right thing to do?
