Barcelona headed to Real Valladolid to claim all three points for a second game running, they did so too. Have a look at who stood out among their star studded players…

Barcelona continued their positive start to La Liga after a 0-1 win away at Real Valladolid. Ousmane Dembele scored the solitary goal with a beautifully worked ball in from Sergi Roberto and a sublime right footed finished. Barcelona were unconvincing for the entire game to be honest, and just like last season, Marc Andre Ter-Stegen and Samuel Umtiti saved them from dropping points.

Surprisingly, Lionel Messi also had a quiet night. Keko did manage to equalize in stoppage time but his goal was ruled out following consultation with VAR. Before they head back to the Camp Nou to take on SD Huesca, here is some analysis from the rare low-key performance by the Spanish champions.

We take a look at the player ratings and how every one of them performed.

Goalkeeper- Marc Andre Ter Stegen- 7/10

Barcelona’s shot stopper was forced to come into action on several occasions in the Estadio Jose Zorrilla. The Germany international made a few crucial saves and had to adjust on several events to stop Valladolid’s attack. Unfortunately for him, Barcelona’s defense looked quite relaxed in the match but had a poor display.

The players ahead of him were breached often and he was called into action on a lot of attacks from the home side. Thankfully, he rose up to the occasion and saved Barcelona’s blushes. While some saves were pretty text book, he did make a brilliant one. He was busy and as a result he gets a seven out of ten.
