Right wing-Lucas Moura

This might be one of the toughest calls Pochettino has to make. Lucas has been playing really well, but Erik Lamela will get serious consideration here. Don’t expect the Brazilian to be given a long leash even though he’ll get the start.

The key for Lucas will be working hard enough to keep United’s wide players back. The more defensive  pressure he can put on the likes of Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial the better off Spurs will be.

Lucas also must continue his hard work on the defensive end of the pitch. That’s the reason he’s worked his way into Pochettino’s good graces this season. He shouldn’t be forced to defend for long stretches on Monday, but he has to be up to the task when he’s called upon.

Left wing-Dele Alli

Dele isn’t going to spend all of his time on the wing, but this should be where he starts the match. His chief task will be to cause problems for United’s defence whenever possible.

The precocious attacker can achieve that effect in a variety of ways. He’s capable of creating chances for his teammates and scoring goals on his own. Mourinho’s back line will need to be aware of where Dele is at all times. His clever runs in the box could be enough to get Spurs’ all three points at Old Trafford.
