Striker-Harry Kane

There is no drama about this selection. On his day, Kane is the best striker in the Premier League. This is just the sort of fixture he lives to play in.

That doesn’t mean it’s always where he plays his best football. Upon occasions, Kane can be guilty of trying too hard to score in high-profile matches. The key for the England striker will be to let the game come to him. He needs to be equally focused on creating for others and finishing chances to be at his best on Monday.

It should worry United fans that he’s been relatively quiet on the young season. He seems due for a breakout game. If that happens on Monday night it’s going to be great news for Tottenham supporters.

Keeper-Michel Vorm

Hugo Lloris’ legal troubles are going to be enough to keep him out of this match. The fact that he’s been missing from training and team activities over the last few days is a pretty clear sign Pochettino is going to go with Vorm.

Next. Tottenham may strip Hugo Lloris of his captaincy. dark

Clearly that isn’t ideal for Tottenham, but it’s the hand the club have been dealt. Vorm has the ability to play a great match upon occasion, and this needs to be one of those fixtures. The absence of Lloris in goal could be a big factor in this match’s outcome.
