Ronaldo may not have scored his first Juventus goal yet, but Juve comes into match day 3 flying high.

Juventus put on a dominant performance in week 2, defeating Europa League bound Lazio 2-0. It was a masterclass for the squad in the 4-3-3 formation, but we are likely to see something different this weekend.

Juventus came into the match against Lazio looking vulnerable after struggling against Chievo Verona. However, Massimiliano Allegri spotted the weaknesses in the squad and made some much needed changes. Juventus looked extremely impressive, constantly creating chances while limiting Lazio to two shots on target. Unlike in week 1 there was never a time during the match that Juventus looked to be losing control.

The goal from Pjanic put Juve ahead, but it was the play from the midfield throughout the match that kept Juve in control. By the time Mandzukic scored it was really just a formality that ensured Juventus would walk away with 3 points.

In spite of the success we saw from Juve against Lazio we should expect to see Allegri send his team out in a 4-2-3-1 once again. With their whole lineup coming out of last week unscathed Juventus can start any combination Allegri dreams up.

Allegri surprised many fans last week by moving Dybala to the bench to accommodate the 4-3-3 formation. However, with Juventus facing a weaker team it is reasonable to expect Allegri to give the 4-2-3-1 another shot against a weaker side.

With the option rotate, expect Allegri to revert to Juve’s familiar formation and to throw in some players that need some playing time to round into form.
