Attacking midfielder-Dele Alli

Dele didn’t have his best finishing boots on against United, but he did create several quality chances. He’ll be chomping at the bit to put the ball into the back of the net against Watford.

His runs into the box will be a key part of Pochettino’s game plan. Watford has two excellent defensive midfielders, but their central defense isn’t nearly as strong. Fancy Dele to score if he’s able to get isolated against the centre backs.

The key for Dele will be to make sure he plays within himself. He can’t get too focused on scoring goals that he forgets about creating for others. He has terrific talent in both areas of the game.

Attacking midfielder-Christian Eriksen

Eriksen awoke from his quasi-slumber against United and keyed several scoring chances for Tottenham. The Danish metronome will want to build on that momentum Sunday.

It will be interesting to see whether or not he continues to try to play high up the pitch, or if he ends up dropping deeper to get more time on the ball. The latter should be his best option against the Hornets. Assists will be more important than goals for Eriksen in this match.

Attacking midfielder-Lucas Moura

There isn’t a player at Tottenham who’s enjoying a better patch of form than Lucas. The Brazilian attacker has really found his footing at Spurs and has scored three goals in as many matches. You can bet that Watford will focus a lot of their defensive attention on keeping him quiet.

Next. Spurs are making progress with Alderweireld. dark

That may end up in a quiet match for Lucas, but a loud, explosive 90 minutes for his attacking teammates. Eventually, an opponent is going to spend too much time worrying about Lucas that they will forget about the likes of Kane and Dele. Sunday seems like a likely time for that to occur.
