Arsenal got their first away points of the season against Cardiff City.

Arsenal came up against Cardiff City, in their fourth match of the Premier League. It was a cagey affair at times, with the majority of the match being held at a stalemate. Arsenal went ahead three times, because the first two times were counteracted by the resilient Cardiff. Still, the Gunners now have six points on the board for the season.

It was Shkodran Mustafi of all people who opened the scoring, he fired home from a Granit Xhaka corner. Then Victor Camarasa made the most of defensive frailties from Arsenal before the half to draw it level.

Then came Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s delightful finish, opening his account for the season. Danny Ward scored his first Premier League goal shortly after, but in the end, Alexandre Lacazette got the last laugh.

How did the players fare?

GK: Petr Cech – 4/10

Starting off with a negative, but it’s a tale of Arsenal’s season. Petr Cech has been horrendous in most matches, and I have no idea how he keeps starting. Today was no different, his distribution was poor and his goalkeeping for the first goal could have been much better.

He couldn’t have done much about the second goal, though. And one positive we learned from his performance is that his distribution is much better from his hands.
