Paul Pogba re-joined Manchester United for a world record fee at the time, but rumors suggest he could complete the yo-yo with a move back to Juventus.

Manchester United suffered a frail start to their Premier League campaign, picking up two defeats and two wins. It always looked to be the case, as United suffered a poor pre-season and Jose Mourinho lost his head. However, he now has more reason to panic.

According to Express, Paul Pogba has informed the club that he would like a return to Juventus this January. The Turin club took the Frenchman from the hands of Sir Alex Ferguson, but after turning him into a star, Jose Mourinho decided to give him his Old Trafford rebirth.

More from Manchester United

He’s been criticized heavily by English media, perhaps unfairly so. A lot of expectation was rested on his shoulders when he broke the transfer fee record, an expectation which he was never going to live up to. Now, whenever he makes a mistake, critics are quick to pounce on it, as they feel they have good reason to do so.

But the truth is, Pogba is much better than he’s made out to be. His commanding approach from midfield has served Manchester United well, and it served the French national team well this summer too. With Les Bleus, Pogba won the World Cup, scoring in the final of the competition. It was France’s second time of winning the prestigious competition, so the plaudits were of course out in full force.

If Juventus are to show any interest in Pogba, they will know all about what he can bring to the club. He served four fruitful years with the Old Lady, winning the Serie A in each of those four years.

He’s matured a lot since then. Mourinho’s discipline may have been questionable at times, but it’s paid off. He still loves to drive forward with the ball at his feet, but only when he feels it’s necessary nowadays. He is a creative-minded player, and he loves to get the best out of his teammates.

Obviously, if he does join Juventus, then he will have fulfilled every player’s life-time dream of playing with Cristiano Ronaldo. The two of them have worked under Sir Alex Ferguson, but both will have different tales to tell. This is something which Juventus should be wary of, as they won’t want the egos to clash, but there should be no problems.

Next. Jose Mourinho had no plans to sign Cristiano Ronaldo. dark
