Luke Shaw will start for Manchester United against Young Boys
The 23 year old had previously sustained a concussion on England duty during the international break, and was left out of the squad that traveled to Watford.
Ashley Young made a return at left back at Vicarage Road, as Manchester United secured a vital 2-1 win through second half goals by Romelu Lukaku and Chris Smalling.
Young was instrumental in both goals, as his set piece delivery wreaked havoc inside the Watford penalty area.

But Manchester United boss Mourinho has confirmed that Luke Shaw will return from injury and start the first Champions League group stage match against Young Boys in Switzerland.
“Luke Shaw plays Wednesday,” Jose said. “We can’t do it with one left-back and Ashley Young is not just a left-back, is also a right-back, they both are doing well and they both are different players.
“And I think both understand one is a young player and the other one is the experienced one and is good for us to have these two options and Darmian is my emergency man, is always ready for everything, so we are fine.”
Shaw’s stint at Old Trafford so far has been ravaged by injuries, with one particular double leg break in the Champions League in August 2015 ruling him out for almost a year.
In spite of remaining fit for the majority of last season, Ashley Young’s performances on the pitch kept him on the sidelines for the most part. He made only 11 Premier League appearances throughout 2017/18.
The start of this season gave him an opportunity to impress Mourinho. The Portuguese boss chose to rest several World Cup stars for the start of the Premier League campaign, giving Shaw a chance ahead of Young.
The youngster made the most of it, scoring the decisive goal in the Red Devils’ opening day win over Leicester.
He continued to impress in the following fixtures despite defeats to Brighton and Spurs, earning himself a recall to the national team for the first time in over a year.
In England’s UEFA Nations League fixture against Spain, Shaw provided an inch perfect assist for Rashford before a clash of heads with Dani Cavajal meant that he had to be stretchered off prematurely.
In spite of being available for selection against the Hornets, Mourinho chose to rest him for the Saturday night fixture.
