Manchester United have received bad luck already ahead of first derby
By Kian Long
Manchester United will feel hard done by, as Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne is expected to return just in time for the first Manchester derby.
Manchester United and City have suffered mixed starts to life in the Premier League. The champions are obviously in and around the top spots, while United sit stagnant in 8th place. Still, both sets of fans will have their eyes on the first Manchester derby of the season, a fixture which fills them both with dread and excitement.
One player in particular who will look forward to it is Kevin de Bruyne. Although the Belgian is injured currently, he’s had his fair share of moments against Mourinho’s men. According to the Daily Star, de Bruyne could be back in action in time for the first Manchester derby of the season.
Bad news for Mourinho.

Jose Mourinho will know all about the quality in which de Bruyne possesses. After all, it was the Portuguese coach who let him go while he was a youngster at Chelsea. Having already avenged his former boss before, I wouldn’t put it past the Belgian to do it again.
He is a key player to Manchester City, perhaps their most pivotal. While they’ve looked steady without him, there are many signs that they miss his creative prowess. The likes of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus all thrive from his creativity, and I bet they can’t wait to see him return to action.
He plays a little deeper under Pep Guardiola, but he loves to drive forward from midfield with the ball at his feet. He will look to test the United midfield, which appears to be their weakest link currently. Once he does, you can guarantee a pinpoint ball is about to be played, and either one of the attackers will be free to test David de Gea.
Who do you think will come out on top in the season’s first Manchester derby?
