Left Winger- Ousmane Dembele- 9/10

Ousmane Dembele put forward another fantastic performance in what is turning out to be a season short of words for the young lad. He scored a delightful goal by dancing past few of PSV’s defenders and then slotting a right footed shot past Zoet from outside the 18 year area. His speed was his biggest advantage in the second half against a tired PSV defence, and he made full use of his standout skill.

Striker- Luis Suarez- 7/10

Luis Suarez was not into the thick of things during Barcelona’s victory, but made sure to sacrifice himself in order to make Dembele and Messi look big. He deserved to get onto the scoresheet, but it did not happen at the end of it. Yet, that did not stop him from working tirelessly and putting a shift on an otherwise comfortable night. His shot from a nice effort hit the crossbar, but amends were made by setting up Lionel Messi.

Right Winger- Lionel Messi- 9/10

Just one point short of the coveted rating of 10 out of 10, which Leo lost out due to a quite performance at the start of the first half. However, he became the focal point of things inevitably as he opened the scoring with a beautiful free-kick beyond the hapless effort of Jeroen Zoet. He inspired Barcelona’s Champions League quest with an amazing second half performance which saw him get two more goals and complete his eighth hat-trick in the European Cup.
