Manchester United have been in the news for several good and big things this season already. One of them is Jose Mourinho’s future.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has not been warm towards his team and the other members associated with the club. The same has had its adverse effects as the Red Devils have already lost two matches in this Premier League season. The former Chelsea boss has had strained relationships with many of his senior players and the poor results are mostly down to lack of chemistry between the boss and his players.

The Premier League giants put behind themselves a turbulent period by winning against Burnley and Watford away from home. The win at the Vicarage Road was far from convincing or comfortable, but the team did get the job done and I give credit to them where it is due.

Jose Mourinho has not been happy with the club’s transfer business this summer and was not allowed to have a winger or central defender in his squad for the season as requested. The ex-Real Madrid manager has been taking negative digs at the board and also his players since preseason, and that is majorly responsible for putting his job under scrutiny aside of the results.

According to latest reports, news is now emerging that Paul Pogba is ready to sign a contract extension at the Old Trafford is Jose is asked to leave and Zinedine Zidane replaces him. The 25 year old’s future has come under spotlight after he was widely linked with a move to Barcelona after apparent fallout with Mourinho. Things have been quite calm since then and Pogba has been vested with captain’s authority and handed penalty duties.

Yet, the World Cup winner is unhappy under Jose Mourinho due to the Red Devils’ manager’s failure in getting the best out of him by allowing mobility in an attacking role. Zidane had been tipped to take over the Old Trafford and had also offered assurances to Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba over playing time and positions.

Hence, the Frenchmen and a lot of fans want to see their current manager bow out through the exit door and make way for the Real Madrid legend. Keeping Pogba happy after spending huge money on him and allowing a budding youngster like Anthony Martial to play regularly is of top priority to Ed Woodward, and that could be a massive deciding factor as far as Jose’s future is concerned.
