Arsenal were in a similar position themselves, I’m sure you can remember…
Arsenal take on Everton at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon. While it’s always a difficult place to visit, especially when the Gunners are in flying form, Everton may find it even tougher to pick up some points on the road. This is due to the players’ rumoured distrust in Marco Silva, as reported by The Sun.
Arsenal know how to pounce on this situation.

If you’re looking for a club who knows all about losing the trust of a manager, look no further than the North London club. A tale of recent seasons is the squad losing faith in the ageing Arsene Wenger, as more and more grew into alignment with the fans’ calls.
This resulted in many lower tier clubs beating them on home soil towards the end of Wenger’s tenure, including most infamously Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup third round. This is because teams prepared around Arsenal’s frailties, and the fans made the away atmosphere too much for the visiting players.
For the first time in forever, Arsenal will have the luxury of the upper-hand. While there’s no concrete backing to the reports, and the distrust not lasting for very long, it’s still a negative facet which the Gunners can pounce upon.
They will need to be resilient, and bring the game to Everton. I assume, after having first-hand experience of club meltdowns, that the defenders will be the ones to target. Whenever Jordan Pickford looks to play out from the back, the Arsenal attackers must pressurise the defence well, looking to win any loose balls. This could be seen by West Ham United, when the Hammers won comfortably against Everton.
The key battles I mentioned will only become more apparent as the game sails on, and from reading this news, I can only assume that the Arsenal players will prevail. Let’s see…
Who do you think will have the upper hand in this game?
