The FIFA 19 top 100 list was revealed recently, and Alexandre Lacazette of Arsenal is right to feel hard done by.

One half of a potent Arsenal strike force, Alexandre Lacazette has plenty of hype around him this season. And rightly so, after failing to hit full gear in his first season, he has a point to prove. He ended last season well though, and by the looks of things, is starting to find a rhythm for this time out.

That’s why it was a shame to see Lacazette hadn’t featured in EA Sports top 100 list. Players such as the ageing Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Fabinho got in ahead of him, which I find unjust. I don’t mean to pinpoint those two players, but I think it’s fair to say Lacazette deserves a place ahead of them.

The Frenchman struggled to get game time at the start of this season, but now he’s a regular starter. I mean, he’s that reliable, even Aubemeyang has been pushed out wide to make room for him. Side note: Aubemyang picked up an 87 rated card, I can’t complain about that.

EA have done Arsenal dirty this year. A large majority of their squad has been downgraded, with most of the downgrades being unwarranted.

His in-game persona is often reliable, though, which gives me plenty of promise to use him. I can only assume that his card will be inexpensive this year, with all the attention going towards Aubameyang. I hope that EA make up for their poor rating with an excellent in-game striker. It’s the justice he deserves.

From a career mode standpoint, it gets even worse. His potential is just 85, which is completely unjust. I know he’s not the youngest anymore, but he gets ten times better every year – and that’s not even a hyperbole. Okay, maybe it is, but you get my point.

Lacazette has the potential to be on par with Raheem Sterling’s current rating, apparently. Smells a bit fishy to me…

I’m a huge fan of Lacazette, so it’s easy for me to say all this. You might not agree with me though, and if so, then feel free to let me know. Do you think Lacazette deserved to make the top 100, or is his rating of 84 fair enough?
