Juventus player ratings vs Frosinone: Cristiano Ronaldo save Juve from embarrasment
By John Vaccaro
Blaise Matuidi: Inc
Matuidi only played for 12 minutes and didn’t really have a chance to leave a mark on this game. He didn’t see much action in this game, but he’ll likely see plenty more on Wednesday against Bologna.
Joao Cancelo 6.5/10
Cancelo didn’t make much of a mark in his 28 minutes in this match (it was a recurring theme in this match). He did contribute 1 of Juve’s 6 accurate crosses, but that was about all he did. He’s been great recently and this match didn’t change that. He just didn’t need to do all that much.
Federico Bernardeschi 8/10

I’ll never get tired of talking about how awesome Federico Bernardeschi has been this season. He has been an incredible surprise for Juve this year and continued that this weekend. He only played for 41 minutes, but in that time he was able to contribute a third of Juve’s accurate crosses, 4 key passes, and a goal that made the scoreline look cleaner than this match really was. He didn’t get the start in this one, but he continues to prove that he should start every match. Things are going to get very interesting a month from now when Allegri needs to choose between Bernardeschi and Douglas Costa again.
Manager: Massimiliano Allegri 7.5/10
This match was almost a huge blemish for Allegri. The starting lineup he selected looked impotent in attack and the defense he selected really didn’t matter for this one. However, he was able to turn things around with his substitute selections. He also gets credit for starting Rugani and Bentancur because their development is crucial for Juve’s future.
This wasn’t a great day for Allegri, but he’s allowed to get it wrong every once in a while.
