The La Liga toppers slipped to a shocking defeat against Leganes in Madrid by a 2-1 score. But how did each of the players fare?

Barcelona were on the losing end of a rather shocking 2-1 score line against Leganes on Wednesday evening. Phillippe Coutinho opened the scoring on the night with a superbly struck volley off Lionel Messi’s pass, which put Barcelona in good command of the match until things started going downhill in the second half.

Nabil El Zhar scored the equaliser for the hosts with a fantastic header before Real Madrid’s loaned player to Leganes, Oscar Rodriguez got the winner. All of it happened in a space of just 71 seconds in the latter 45 minutes and then Leganes did not let Barcelona have a route back into the match.

On a night when the entire team more or less flopped, we take a detailed look at every player’s performance.

Goalkeeper- Marc Andre Ter Stegen- 5/10

Marc Andre Ter Stegen has been poor since the start of this season and shipped in two more goals against the Cucumber Growers from Madrid. The German shot stopper has cemented himself as a first choice goalie but is not justifying that tag this season, more so after recent displays.

Barcelona finished the first half of last season having conceded only nine goals, but there have already been seven which have gone past them this season. Ter Stegen was not called into action on several instances but should have done better to save Leganes’ equalising header.
