Florentino Perez made some exciting comments regarding former Real Madrid man Cristiano Ronaldo.
He’s only been gone for a few months, but I already consider him a Real Madrid legend. He spent nine illustrious years with Los Blancos, winning multiple trophies and scoring a multitude of sensational goals during his time.
He now plays for Juventus, and having got off to a questionable start, he has still been exceptional compared to most players in the game. The Italian league is a whole different kettle of fish, but you can’t say the Portuguese superstar wasn’t up for the challenge.

Anyway, there has been comments made by the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez which could suggest a Ronaldo return to the Bernabeu. After giving a heartfelt speech about how he feels about Ronaldo, Perez finished with the line “He is one of those that one day will come back.” This news has come from the highly trusted ESPN.
While this could easily be just a coincidental slip of the tongue, there must be reasoning to his comments. I can’t personally see Ronaldo returning as a player, but the option is there for him to become a coach of some sort. He definitely has the know-how, being a contender for the greatest of all time.
There aren’t many contemporary players who you can look at and already think ‘they would make a great coach’ – but Ronaldo is certainly one of those. I mean, let’s not forget what happened in the EURO 2016 final. Ronaldo was ruled out early on through injury, but he inspired his side to see out the game, before eventually giving Eder the confidence to strike home in extra time.
He sometimes gets criticised for his character off the pitch, but let’s face it, that stems from mere jealousy. From all the clips I have seen of him interacting with fans and players alike, he seems like an incredible guy.
Ronaldo was recently shunned from the FIFA award ceremony, but so too was his ‘good friend’ Lionel Messi. His year was by no means the best, but when lifting the Champions League trophy isn’t up there with your best years, you just know how great of a player you are.
Juventus are predicted to win Serie A with flying colours, and that’s thanks to one man. Cristiano, the Italian stage is yours for the taking.
Do you think Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Real Madrid one day?
