Now that’s more like it.

After struggling to display any kind of attacking threat for most of the match against Frosinone, Juventus was on the front foot against Bologna from the opening kickoff. Juve put the pressure on right away and it didn’t take long for it to pay off. Juve got the scoring started 70 minutes earlier in this match than they did on Saturday.

In the 11th minute Paulo Dybala got hit in the back with the ball and it turned out to be a perfect pass to Blaise Matuidi. Matuidi put a shot on goal, but it was saved by Lukas Skorupski. Dybala followed the rebound and scored on a beautiful scissor kick. It was Dybala’s first goal of the year and got the scoring started for Juve.

The second goal came even more quickly as they scored again just 5 minutes later. Dybala played a cross over the top of the defense to Ronaldo on the far post who played a cross of his own. Matuidi got on the end of it and blasted the ball into the top of the net. From there Juve would coast through the rest of their win.

GK: Mattia Perin 7/10

Perin didn’t have much to do today, but that’s why today was a perfect day for him to make his debut. He made a couple of easy saves and wasn’t forced into anything difficult. His Juve debut ended in a win and a clean sheet. You can’t really ask for much more.
