It seems to be the same tale each window, but I’ll say it again. There’s no reason why Paul Pogba should remain at Manchester United.

His future is at risk if he continues to work with Jose Mourinho. Unfortunately for United fans, this is a tale which is far too common.

Having been involved in a rumoured training ground tiff, the French midfielder will feel exhausted from everything which is going on. He’s also been stripped of his captaincy, which is completely unjustified in my opinion.

That said, here are three reasons why I think Pogba should leave Old Trafford as soon as this January…

1. He can’t risk staying for another window.

While a fairy-tale could certainly happen, I can’t see it. As talented as he is, United don’t have the means to bring it out of him. Particularly with Jose Mourinho in charge, the chances of Pogba succeeding at United are very minimal.

That’s why I believe he should move while he still has the chance. He ages at just 25 years old, which is still young for a footballer. There’s plenty of time to reach his peak, and being the near-perfect player he is, all it takes is one small push in the right direction. But it needs to happen now, or his chances of success will fade further and further away.

Igniting the saga by requesting a transfer will surely put the United board under pressure. Ed Woodward recently came out to say he has no plans of selling Pogba, but that will change in a heartbeat. Sorry Ed, but if Pogba wants to leave, then the media will be on you like a moth around a lamp.
