3. Duh, the Mourinho curse.

Last, but certainly not least. The curse. You know which one I’m talking about. It’s a simple 5-step routine:

  1. Mourinho works with player.
  2. Player has one bad game.
  3. Mourinho blames him for literally everything going wrong with his life.
  4. Player leaves.
  5. Player becomes world-class.

Ring any bells? It’s happened with two of the last players of the year in English football, Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne. Both of them had a difficult time with Mourinho, left, and then became real stars. It took them a while, but here they are.

More from Manchester United

While I don’t think Pogba will join the Premier League again if he does move, leaving United will almost definitely work in his favour. Even those who don’t believe in superstition will tell you; it’s just the way life works.

All jokes aside, a change in managerial approach will definitely benefit Pogba. Having seen his best side at Juventus and the France national team, there’s no denying that there’s a gem to be unearthed. With Woodward having no plans to fire Mourinho, it’s time to bid au revoir.

For this, I think PSG is a seriously underrated suitor. The appointment of Thomas Tuchel is worth taking note. The German coach is known for his work with young players, a trait which he showed at Borussia Dortmund and is beginning to show in Paris.

Besides, it means linking up with the rampant Kylian Mbappe once more – so what’s not to love about that as a neutral?!
