Hector Bellerin – 6/10

His crossing was yet again poor. It’s frustrating, because I know he’s capable of better. The Spaniard was lively though, as he looked to help his side in more than one way. His defending was impressive, and he picked up a goal-line block in the first half, albeit it was called offside by the linesman.

Shkodran Mustafi – 6.5/10

I must admit, I was very surprised to see Mustafi starting today. I predicted Holding to start alongside Sokratis. However, he was actually okay today. He was by no means the best player on the pitch, but he was solid alongside Holding. Also, it’s a clean sheet – so what’s to complain about?

Rob Holding – 7/10

Holding really impressed me today. Defending against the wannabe gangster Troy Deeney and the always lively Andre Gray is never an easy task, but Holding did it well. He protected Cech and Leno well, and helped his side pick up the three points in his first league start of the season.

I hope he keeps his place in the starting XI, even when Sokratis does return to full fitness. It will be interesting to see how the defence looks with the two of them partnered, and with Mustafi taking a break for once.

Nacho Monreal – 6.5/10

He was okay. He wasn’t as good as he usually is, but he always looked to cause problems. There were a few moments of frustration from him, but they were only exacerbated by Arsenal’s first half performance. Still, he had more of an impact than Alexis did at West Ham today. Oops.
