There have been rumours that Manchester United could sack Jose Mourinho during the upcoming international break. But recent history suggests that the Glazers will not be interested in showing him the door at this moment.

Manchester United are having a terrible time in the Premier League this season. The Red Devils are in 10th position after they suffered a shock defeat at the hands of West Ham last weekend. Jose Mourinho is unable to control his squad with some players wanting him to be sacked immediately.

The Portuguese boss was involved in training ground bust-up with Paul Pogba. The French International is fed up with the manager as he is constantly blamed for something or other every week. Some reports suggest that United officials could show Mourinho the door during next week’s international break.

More from Manchester United

According to ESPN, Manchester United owners, the Glazer family are willing to give the manager some time to turn things around. The US entrepreneurs are in constant contact with club executive, Ed Woodward and are happy with continuing with Mourinho for now.

Glazers are known to support managers at the club until things go completely out of hand. David Moyes, who was given a 6-year contract as he replaced Sir Alex Ferguson, was sacked after 9 months only. Senior club players called for his sacking in December itself but the owners decided to stick with him until Manchester United mathematically failed to enter the Champions League.

Louis Van Gaal was given the opportunity to secure continental football but couldn’t secure a top 4 finish and was shown the door after his side won the FA Cup at the end of the season.

Joel and Avram Glazer are aware of the issues in the Manchester United dressing room. The duo understands the fact that there isn’t a manager who is available to take up the job at Old Trafford this very moment.

dark. Next. United face difficulties in acquiring Zidane

Zinedine Zidane has emerged as a top target for the Red Devils but it is unlikely he will choose to in the middle of a season. Former player, Laurent Blanc is one of the dark horses in the race for Mourinho’s job. He would be a wonderful choice, considering the 52-year old has an idea of Manchester United’s history.
