Manchester United vs Newcastle United

Kian Long: MUN 1-1 NEW

Newcastle will pull through and win their first big game of the season. Rafa Benitez has an impressive record against Mourinho. Will he give his long-time rival the sack, or is that wishful thinking?

Matt English: MUN 1-1 NEW

United have looked out of character this season while Newcastle cannot connect the pieces. Some late drama could spell disaster for the impotent United attack.

Atharva Khadilkar: MUN 2-1 NEW

Jose Mourinho is just one loss away from the sack as per speculation. He will come up against Rafa Benitez who has been a notorious opponent. However, a narrow win should see the hosts get all three points.

Tushar Bahl: MUN 2-0 NEW

Manchester United are in a precarious position at the moment and they simply cannot afford to lose to Newcastle at home this weekend. United look like a team without identity and Newcastle will be determined to take advantage of their situation. Expect United to struggle but in the end secure their first win at Old Trafford since opening day.

Reyhan Nath: MUN 3-1 NEW

United are an absolute shambles at the moment. Everything is a mess, be it relationships off the field, to results on it. If they were a pizza place and you ordered a mushroom pizza with extra sauce, they’d deliver one with chocolate syrup and under-cooked chicken. Makes sense? No? There you go, that’s what they are right now. As a fan myself, it hurts having second thoughts about whether my club is going to win a home game against a side that’s in the relegation zone. My prediction is based solely on the hope that the players will finally show up to a game and give us something to smile about.

Shawn Ivan D’souza: MUN 1-0 NEW

Manchester United suffering a pretty terrible time in the Premier League. But Rafa Benitez doesn’t have enough in his squad to trouble Jose Mourinho’s side this weekend. If the defence remains stable, United fans could see the three points in the kitty this weekend.

Karl Harrington: MUN 1-1 NEW

This prediction isn’t based on anything I’ve seen from Newcastle so far this season, but United are a mess at the moment and Benitez would love nothing more than to add to Jose’s woes.

Ryan Wrenn: MUN 2-0 NEW

As bad as things have gotten under Jose Mourinho at United, they probably aren’t lose-to-Newcastle bad quite yet. Expect them to enjoy an easy victory that will cloud over the problems at the club for at least one more week.
