GK: Wojciech Szczesny

Szczesny seemed to have Mattia Perin breathing down his neck to start the season, but he has kept his distance throughout this year. He has yet to have a poor performance this season and has looked good when called upon (even though that hasn’t been often this season). Szczesny has continued to earn his starting role with this team and I don’t expect him to relinquish it any time soon.

CB: Giorgio Chiellini

Giorgio Chiellini will once again lead the defense against Udinese. Even at 34 years old the Juve captain has continued to play at an elite level. After getting the day off on Tuesday and with an international break coming up you can assume Chiellini will get the start here. Juve will put out the best lineup they can to stay perfect heading into the second international break. We’re still a long way from Chiellini being omitted from that lineup.

CB: Leonardo Bonucci

After a disappointing performance against Napoli, Leonardo Bonucci was able to earn some redemption against Young Boys. He played a superb long ball to Paulo Dybala to get the party started just 5 minutes into the match for Juve. He said recently that he wants to hear the Juve fans sing his name again and a performance against Udinese like the one he had on Tuesday would be another step toward that becoming a reality. He was rested just 3 matches ago and wasn’t asked to do much defensively against Young Boys so it’s likely he’ll be given the chance to make that song happen on Saturday.
