LB: Alex Sandro

Sandro hasn’t had a truly impressive performance since the season opener, but he is still firmly in control of his starting spot. This is in part because he has yet to have a slip up yet this year either. He is usually an extra attacking threat for Juve down that left side, but has been unable to really make an impact for the attack recently. Although he hasn’t been at his best recently, Sandro is still one of the best left backs in the world and will continue to start as many matches as possible. Once he does manage to find his attacking form again Juve’s Serie A leading attack will only become more potent.

RB: Joao Cancelo

Cancelo was rested against Young Boys, but will likely get the start here. He has shown throughout the season that he was worth every one of those 40.4 million euros that Juventus paid for him. He has been a wall on defense and has been extremely dangerous in the attack. At only 24 years old we may not have even seen the best of Cancelo yet. In just his first 2 months at Juve he has made it clear that he will be a key part of this defense for a long time. Against Udinese he has a perfect opportunity to show it yet again. Udinese’s attack has been average this season (11th in scoring) and this will give Cancelo the chance to focus on providing Juve with another creative option on the right side. I look forward to seeing Cancelo given another chance to shine in this match.
