CM: Blaise Matuidi 6.5/10

This was another light day for Matuidi. He wasn’t involved in the match very much while he was on the field and he got subbed off at halftime for the second consecutive match. There’s not much to say about Matuidi in this one. He didn’t hurt Juve at all, but he was really just there in this match.

CM: Miralem Pjanic 7.5/10

Pjanic once again failed to add to his goal or assist tallies in this match, but he helped keep the pressure on Udinese throughout the match. He completed 92.2% of his passes along with providing 4 key passes and 3 accurate crosses. He hasn’t been able to rack up the numbers this year like he has in the past, but those numbers will come eventually if Pjanic continues to put in performances like this. He created plenty of opportunities for Juve and nearly scored a screamer in the first half. Pjanic put in a good effort in this match, but Juve is on the verge of wearing him out. He started the last 6 matches and Juve should give him some chances to rest after the international break.

CM: Rodrigo Bentancur 8/10

Bentancur has slowly been working his way into form over the last few matches. That form peaked in this match against Udinese. Bentancur supplied 2 key passes in the match, made 3 tackles, and intercepted 2 passes. Most importantly though, he scored his first goal for Juve. He did a great job of getting himself in position to get his head to Cancelo’s cross and left no doubt on the finish. Bentancur looked fantastic in this match and once again showcased the well-rounded skillset he has to offer Juventus. With Matuidi and Sami Khedira both on the wrong side of 30 it won’t be long before the 21 year old Bentancur plays a key role in Juve’s midfield.
