Thierry Henry was unveiled as the new manager of AS Monaco yesterday, and rightly so. That said, let’s dive into five iconic moments throughout his illustrious career.

1. There’s no time like the present

Obviously, Henry is mostly known for his work on the field. It will take some doing in order to match his reputation from his playing days.

However, taking the role of head coach at AS Monaco could be looked back on in the future as one of his best choices. That’s why it’s made the list, and I decided it would be best to address it first.

Monaco have many young players coming through the ranks, something which Henry knows the feeling of. He was also a young player playing for Monaco, before he was picked up by a certain someone named Arsene Wenger. The rest is history…

He still has Monaco embedded into his heart, and after all these years, the Frenchman has finally returned to give the fans what they deserve. He has a lot of work to do in order to succeed Leonardo Jardim, but there’s no reason why he can’t do that.

He will look to use his experience, from all of the illustrious clubs he has played for, in order to make the most of his new endeavour. One thing is for sure, the young players he is working with will give him the most respect, as they will be aware of all he’s achieved.

He isn’t *totally* inexperienced when it comes to management we mustn’t forget, as he spent some time as the assistant coach for the Belgium national team. Onwards and upwards!
