#3 Memphis Depay (Lyon)

Memphis Depay doesn’t just sport a lion tattoo on his back. He is actually one in a literal sense. The Dutchman’s nightmarish days are a thing of the past and he has turned into a shining beacon at Lyon, roaring by scoring crucial and spectacular goals.

The 24-year-old forays with a flair, taking 2.6 shots on target per game. Predominantly featuring as a center-forward, he has an astonishingly brilliant key pass rate of 3.6 passes per game.
Depay is an excellent crosser of the ball, making 2.2 crosses per game. He is also brilliant at dishing out long balls and makes 0.9 passes per game.

Memphis Depay seems to be cut from the same cloth as Ronaldo. He has a similar playing style to that of the Juventus striker; he likes to cut inside and take shots on goal and is also good in doing layoffs. Apart from that, he is also a threat to reckon from set-pieces and penalties. Barring the his weak contribution in the air given his short stature, few would disagree that the Dutchman resembles Ronaldo.

The Dutchman is also capable of operating as a left forward and an attacking midfielder. Since striking a deal for Eden Hazard is next to impossible in January, Los Blancos could as well turn their attention to Memphis Depay.

However, the buy-back clause in his contract inserted by Manchester United and Jose Mourinho could be a big hurdle for Real Madrid. Yet, should they succeed in convincing both United and Lyon, Depay would definitely be an important piece of the jigsaw at the Spanish capital.
