Many fans are already looking forward to the upcoming Champions League match against Manchester United, but first Juventus will look to keep their perfect start alive against Genoa.

Genoa has been as average as it gets this season. They have won 4 matches and lost 3, with all 4 wins coming against teams in the bottom 10 of the league table and the losses coming against teams in the top. Their defense has surrendered the 4th most goals in the league in spite of playing one less game than most of the league, but their attack has been able to give them some redemption. Their attack is tied for 8th in the league and has been spearheaded by Serie A’s biggest surprise (who could end up at Juve in the near future). Krzysztof Piatek will be the main obstacle Juve will need to focus on.

Juve will likely be down a few players as they attempt to win their 11th consecutive match to start the season. Sami Khedira, Douglas Costa, and Daniele Rugani will continue to be unavailable for the Bianconeri because of their injuries, but another big name was added to that list this weekend. Paulo Dybala picked up an injury on international duty and appears as if he will be missing for the match against Genoa and maybe even the midweek trip to Manchester.

Dybala’s absence should just about ensure Juve plays a 4-3-3 against Genoa. They will need to be strong in the midfield to keep Genoa from sending crosses to their big target in the middle and without Dybala there really isn’t any reason to play a 4-2-3-1 anyway. We may see some rotation in this match, so Juve’s players will need to perform right out of the gate to keep the perfect start alive and send the team to Manchester on a high note.
