Real Madrid’s manager Julen Lopetegui is set to be sacked within 24 hours as per reports circulating in Spain. Here’s all you need to know!
Julen Lopetegui’s misery was pounded after his Real Madrid side lost 2-1 to Levante on Saturday afternoon. The Whites suffered a humiliation after the visitors opened up a two goal lead over their hosts. Real Madrid’s left back Marcelo struck a little late on in the match to give the Whites hope and end their worst scoreless record ever of 481 minutes.
It has now been reported by VAVEL’s Mootaz Chehade that Julen Lopetegui is set to be sacked in the next 24 hours by Los Blancos. “Real Madrid set to sack manager Julen Lopetegui after his disappointing results in the past weeks, announcement expected in the next 24 hours,” the tweet read.

However, five winless matches which have been combined by three successive defeats to the hands of CSKA Moscow, Deportivo Alaves and now Levante have compelled Florentino Perez into making a decision of firing Julen Lopetegui ahead of the Whites’ fixtures against Viktoria Plzen and Barcelona in the coming week.
It comes deservingly to Julen Lopetegui who has not been able to deliver at Real Madrid, a club where the standards are higher than anywhere else and results matter over anything else. But for the former Spain manager, the year has not gone really well. He was sacked by Luis Rubiales from Spain’s managerial post after taking up Real Madrid’s job on the eve of the FIFA World Cup’s opener between Russia and Saudi Arabia and is looking certain to lose his job yet again.
While there have been no talks of a replacement, the Whites have reportedly gotten in touch with Antonio Conte or could even promote Real Madrid Castilla manager Santiago Solari to a first team role.
