Barcelona defeated Sevilla by a 4-2 scoreline. Let’s take a detailed look at how every player performed in the vital victory at the Camp Nou.

Barcelona got back to winning ways in La Liga Santander after emerging as 4-2 winners over Sevilla on Saturday night. The Catalans got an important result which sent them on top and it has to be handed to Phillippe Coutinho, Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ivan Rakitic who were amongst the goals for Ernesto Valverde’s side.

Luis Muriel and Clement Lenglet’s own goal meant that Sevilla scored two goals for themselves though they turned out to be only consolations. But it would be unfair to not mention Marc Andre Ter Stegen’s sensational performance at the Camp Nou. Barcelona would probably have dropped points without his heroics and he surely deserves credit for it.

Let us take a look at how every individual performed in the hard earned win.

Goalkeeper- Marc Andre Ter Stegen- 9/10

Marc Andre Ter Stegen started the match on the back of five straight games without a clean sheet. He did go without it for a sixth running match against the Andalusians but made sure that he made his presence on the pitch visible to the crowd with some reflexive and stunning saves.

He stopped two certain goals of Sevilla with double saves from point blank ranges and put a few of Andre Silva’s headed opportunities out of the Barcelona net. In Messi’s absence it will be important for Ter Stegen to ensure stability at the back if things don’t go too well in the forward areas for Barca.
