Cristiano Ronaldo sat in the media room at the Old Trafford on Monday evening, 24 hours before Manchester United and Juventus go toe-to-toe.

Cristiano Ronaldo signed for Juventus after leaving Real Madrid in July 2018. The Portugal international has settled in well at Turin and gotten underway with a decent start to life with the Old Lady. He’s scored 5 goals and assisted 5 times in 9 league appearances for Massimiliano Allegri’s side so far this season.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Whites failed to replace their all-time top goalscorer and only added Mariano Diaz up top. That proved to be a suicidal decision as they are now enduring a run of five winless matches. During the spell, they went 481 minutes without scoring a goal until Marcelo struck last weekend.

More from Real Madrid

On Tuesday, the former Real Madrid talisman returns to the very place where he became the world’s best player- Old Trafford. On the eve of the UEFA Champions League clash between Manchester United and Juventus, Ronaldo appeared before the press and discussed various things, one of which was Real Madrid’s ‘crisis’ and Isco’s comments about him.

While he did answer the question from one of the journalists about Real Madrid’s state, he refused to go too much in depth with his response which looked like an indirect way of Ronaldo saying that he didn’t really bother much about things in Spain’s capital now that he had departed for Italy.

"“It’s all right. You cannot cry,” the forward said ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash between Juventus and Manchester United, another of his ex-clubs. “I do not have to talk about other clubs. Everyone knows the story I had at Real Madrid and what is important, tomorrow’s game. It’s not for me to talk about the crisis of others.”"

As the Portuguese continued with his interaction with the media, he paid tribute to Sir Alex Ferguson- a person who has been a massive figure in helping the 33-year-old reach the very top of football. In addition to that, Cristiano also insisted that Juventus can expect a difficult fixture against the Red Devils.

"“It’s a huge emotional thing for me to come back. I know all about the history. I won trophies here – cups, leagues, Champions League,” he added. “Sir Alex Ferguson is someone I will never ever forget and I’d like to express my best possible wishes to him. It will be a difficult game, we know United have a good team, they are at home, but we have our weapons and we have a chance. If we play good, the way the coach wants, we have a chance to win the game.”"

A win in England would put Juventus in command of Group H and they might potentially go on to top it. Cristiano Ronaldo will be imperative in the UEFA Champions League for the Italians. He’d be hoping to get his first goals across Europe in a Juventus shirt against the Red Devils after being sent off just half an hour into his debut with them and missing the group stage fixture versus BSC Young Boys three weeks ago.
