Alexis Sanchez’s time at Manchester United has been shambolic. The Chilean International is set to move on and has identified his next destination.

Manchester United have been poor in front of goal this season. Alexis Sanchez form is a major area of concern for Jose Mourinho. The Chilean International was part of a swap deal that saw Mkhitaryan move to Arsenal in January.

The Mancunians expected a lot from Sanchez, considering he was one of the best players in the Premier League. But the 29-year old is finding it difficult at Manchester United and has managed to score only 4 goals in 26 appearances.

More from Manchester United

Earlier this week, reports emerged that Sanchez is eyeing a move away from England, just nine months after making a move to Old Trafford.

According to the Metro, Manchester United officials are open to selling the forward once the transfer window opens in January. Ed Woodward is to redirect the funds in bringing in a central defender and a right-winger to help Mourinho turn the club’s fortune this season.

Alexis Sanchez has already identified his next destination. He was keen on joining Paris Saint Germain in January. But huge investments in Neymar and Mbappe meant that the Ligue 1 side couldn’t fund his £400,000-a-week wage demand.

Paris Saint Germain is one of the few clubs who can shell out the cash to sign him at this moment. Sanchez’s agent has already begun exploring the possibility of a move for his client and talks could begin soon.

Manchester United could offer the player in an attempt to bring back a former player. Since Neymar and Mbappe arrived, Angel Di Maria has lived in the shadows and is finding it difficult to nail down a starting XI spot.

The Argentine forward has improved his game since his infamous stint at Old Trafford. Mourinho needs a player who can create opportunities in the final third. And Di Maria is the perfect fit for that position.

Next. Manchester United should decide to sell Alexis Sanchez before it gets late. dark
