How Paris Saint-Germain may lineup for Le Classique
Right Midfielder – Adrien Rabiot
Adrien Rabiot has been the focal point of all media since the beginning of the Transfer window. There have been speculations of him wanting to leave the club and he even rejected multiple contract extension offers from his boyhood club. However, a recent twist in events report that he’ll be extending with the club nevertheless.
Tuchel has always praised the Frenchman and has constantly emphasized on how important he is for the team and with the Contract Extension taking a positive turn, not starting Adrien Rabiot despite him being totally fit would be a big no for the club.
Central Midfielder – Marco Verratti
The Italian midfield maestro has the ability to control games. His passing ability and vision is something that cant be replaced. It becomes cumbersome for PSG when Verratti is not on the pitch, as we saw during the Liverpool game. His dribbling and distribution all over the pitch makes his style of play really unique and Tuchel always speaks highly of the midfielder. After returning from an injury, Verratti has hit top gear once again and no other player in the Parisian midfield offers what he can. His discipline is something that gets the best of him, especially in big games and that is the only headache that the coach would have to face when it comes to Verratti.
Left Midfielder – Ángel Di María
El Fideo has been a key member of the PSG squad. He has started majority of the games and seems to have found his confidence back. The Argentine has 5 assists and 3 goals in 10 Ligue 1 matches and has scored 2 goals in 3 Champions League matches, including a stunner in the 93rd minute against Napoli to equalize and keep his teams hopes in the competition alive. Averaging around 1.6 key passes per game and providing a huge tide of attacking threat from both the flanks, Di María is set to start the Le Classique and has Tuchel’s complete trust and confidence. The German Tactician too has never been shy in expressing his love for Ángel and how lucky he is to work with a player as professional as him.
