Here’s a look at how every Real Madrid player performed in El Clasico on Sunday evening in what was a 5-1 loss at the Camp Nou.

Real Madrid were battered 5-1 by arch rivals F.C. Barcelona in the El Clasico on Sunday evening. It was an absolutely horrible performance by the Whites’ players to say the least, while Barcelona took complete advantage of Real Madrid’s sloppiness to punish them when they went forward.

Luis Suarez delivered a masterclass and his hat-trick was responsible in the sinking of Madrid. The Uruguayan took up the talismanic role in Lionel Messi’s absence while the plaudits must also go to Philippe Coutinho and Arturo Vidal for chipping in with the goods against the European champions. The hapless result would probably be enough to see Julen Lopetegui go and we could see the 52-year-old head out of the exit door any time now.

With that said, let us see how every Real Madrid player performed in their humbling defeat in the Camp Nou.

Goalkeeper- Thibaut Courtois- 5/10

Thibaut Courtois shipped in three goals in his last visit to the Camp Nou with Chelsea and would have hoped to put that behind him. However, a new nightmare would have started troubling him after he let in five goals against the Catalans on his El Clasico debut with Real Madrid. But to be fair on his part, the Belgium international could not really help in stopping the goals. He did well to deny imminent goals of Arthur and Suarez in either halves of the game. Maybe Courtois could have done better to deal with the attempts which led to the second and third of Luis Suarez’s goals.
