Defender- Lucas Vazquez- 5/10

It’s a pity that Vazquez did not start at right back in spite of it being slightly an unconventional role for him. But he did come on in the second half to try to make an impact, but it was already very late. Lucas looked threatening on the right back spot and that would mean that any Real Madrid manager in the future would have him as an option to play in that role as well.

More from Real Madrid

Forward- Marco Asensio- 4/10

Marco Asensio was brought on in the final ten minutes as Real Madrid were seeking to go in all out attacking mode. The Majorcan looked composed on the ball on the left wing but did no good with it in the final third. His passes were intercepted and neither of his two shots were on target.

Forward- Mariano Diaz- 5/10

Mariano Diaz came on in the latter five or so minutes of the match and seemed to have disappeared since being introduced. It’s hard to recollect whether he even touched the ball when he was on the pitch.

Manager- Julen Lopetegui- 0/10

An absolute horror show from Julen Lopetegui in what was most certainly his final game as the Real Madrid coach. If there’s one coach that the Madridista community despises more than Rafa Benitez, it is this guy.

In El Clasico, Julen Lopetegui proved that he is a tactical dud without any knowledge of the opponent whatsoever. He opted with Lucas Vazquez in a match and a half when Real Madrid played Viktoria Plzen and Levante over the last week, but in one match when the Whites needed his attacking capability, Lopetegui put on Nacho there who can’t attack well down the right hand side. Taking off Gareth Bale for Marco Asensio was another clueless decision because the Welshman’s heading ability could have come to good use in spite of the game being lost.
