As if Arsenal fans need any more excuses to love their prolific Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang…
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is beginning to emerge into a real fan favourite. Particularly under Unai Emery, he has looked to get in goal scoring positions as much as possible to help out Arsenal. He has formed quite the deadly partnership with his striking partner, Alexandre Lacazette, too.
However, when it comes to perceptions of the talented Gabonese, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. If you ask any Borussia Dortmund fan, they will tell you just how quickly your love for Aubameyang can burn out. And to be honest, BVB fans have every right to take on this negative view of Aubameyang.

According to The Mirror, he became quite the menace towards the end of his tenure. In an attempt to force a move to Arsenal, the Gabonese would consistently miss out on first team meetings, while also refusing to take part in all training activities.
For Arsenal fans, this can be seen as him being desperate to join their club. And so he did, becoming Arsene Wenger’s final signing. When he joined, there was a lot of hype surrounding his name. Not many Arsenal fans mentioned his attitude problems, and so far, they’ve not been a problem for Arsenal.
In fact, he’s been nothing but a positive impact behind the scenes. The Gunners are on a 12-game unbeaten run, with Aubameyang being key to this.
Being forced to play out wide to accommodate for the form of Lacazette, it would be easy for Aubameyang to complain. But he hasn’t, he’s got on with his job well, and actually, he gets in more prolific positions now than he did when he played as a striker.
With Arsenal beginning to upload many videos from the training ground, fans can often see Aubameyang cracking the jokes and making the aura feel positive. He has also been coming off the bench a lot lately, with his two previous bench appearances producing a brace.
So, is Aubameyang really a menace? I guess Arsenal fans will have to wait and see. But for now, at least, they can sit back and enjoy the goals rolling in.
