The two North London rivals will meet again, as Arsenal host Tottenham in the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup.

This competition is beginning to serve Arsenal well, and they’re getting closer to winning it. Last year, the Gunners suffered a loss in the final at the hands of Manchester City. This year, they will look to seek vengeance, but it’s never going to be easy when you have Tottenham in your path.

On the 17th of December, right before Christmas, the two rivals won’t look to spread the festivities, they will only want to win. It will be the second time the two clash at Emirates Stadium, as Arsenal will also host Tottenham in the Premier League just over two weeks before.

More from Arsenal FC

The last time the two sides met in this competition, Mathieu Flamini scored a brace and gave Arsenal the win. However, Spurs have rapidly improved since then, and their North London derby is looking impressive. All of this will make for the perfect encounter if you’re watching as a neutral.

When it comes to derbies, form is not an important factor. However, if you were to look at this, then you would favour Arsenal. The Gunners are on a 12-game unbeaten record, drawing only once.

Tottenham beat West Ham in order to reach the quarterfinal, so they will have had their London derby preparations. It was a 3-1 scoreline, with Lucas Perez of all people scoring for West Ham. Arsenal, on the other hand, looked shaky, but still managed to pick up the win against Blackpool.

Obviously, the two rival fans are known for going at it on social media. Here are some of the best reactions as the draw was made…
