LB: Leonardo Spinazzola

I may be way off on this one and Massimiliano Allegri could elect to use 3 center backs this weekend like I thought they would last weekend. I don’t believe that will be the case here though as this seems like the perfect time to give Spinazzola his first start at Juventus. He has dealt with an injury throughout the early part of the season, but was finally added to the squad last weekend. With Allegri hinting that Sandro is unlikely to play there is no reason to keep Spinazzola out of this match. His return would be the perfect opportunity to give Sandro the recovery time he needs and would give Juve a chance to see what there backup is capable of. He likely won’t be at his best this early into his return, but this is a chance for him to earn Allegra’s trust.

RB: Joao Cancelo

This one is really a no-brainer. Joao Cancelo was rested for the match against Empoli in favor of giving Mattia De Sciglio his first start of the season. Now De Sciglio seems to be unavailable and Cancelo is rested. Cancelo has been a force at right back for Juventus this season, making himself one of the frontrunners for the title of “best right back in Serie A”. With his backup needing a rest and him rested there is absolutely no reason for Juventus to keep him out of this match. He will be able to impact the match on both ends of the field and this match should help him maintain his form heading into the match against Untied that could potentially lock up first place in the group.
