3. Paris Saint-Germain – Sporting Director

Paris Saint-Germain is looking to appoint Arsene Wenger as their Sporting Director. Due to constant disputes between PSG’s current Sporting director Antero Henrique & PSG manager Thomas Tuchel, things haven’t been so smooth behind the scenes. Henrique has done the impossible at PSG by bringing in Neymar and M’bappe to the club in the same window. However, one post that he hasn’t been able to reinforce one position which the club needs to strengthen since the past few years is the post of a defensive midfielder. This has upset the German coach and has resulted in tension between the two.

Wenger remains close friends with Paris Saint-Germain’s President & Chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi due to their association with beIN Sports and this is also one of the reasons why Wenger would consider the move.

Despite being more inclined towards a coaching role, the Ex-Arsenal Manager has said that he would be open to exploring other opportunities too. Wenger would be allowed to make a few reinforcements on and off the field for the club more notably the Youth system of the club.

Wenger is known for finding and developing youth players and this is one of the most essential roles of a Sporting Director. But with FFP restrictions, PSG can’t really afford to sack Antero Henrique right now. Only time will tell if PSG will be willing to take the risk by sacking Henrique and appointing Wenger.
