Alexis Sanchez has tested the patience of the Manchester United faithful, and its high time Jose Mourinho considers replacing him.

The dust just doesn’t seem to be settling on Manchester United’s disheartening performances, with the Red Devils notching yet another loss – this time at the hands of Juventus in the Champions League. As the chagrin of the United faithful becomes uncontrollable day by day, the rumour mill flooding with reports of various players on the brink of exiting the club does is far from benefiting the cause.

However, the one player that United fans wouldn’t regret letting slip through their fingers is Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean has fallen down the pecking order and is nothing more than a former shadow of the player he was at Arsenal.

Sanchez has miserably failed to adapt to the defensive philosophy of Jose Mourinho and according to various reports, he is eyeing for an exit in January.

The case of Alexis Sanchez will definitely prove to be a lesson for United henceforth when it comes to making panic buys in the market. The 29-year-old, arguably one of the world’s best attackers, is actually a surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

The Chilean’s purchase was rather bewildering, knowing that United already had two budding youngsters in Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford contesting for the spot on the left flank. To top it all, the need for a reinforcement on the right flank has been left unattended.

Buying a right-winger instead of Alexis Sanchez would have been more plausible for Jose Mourinho. However, with the 29-year-old seemingly edging closer to the exit, the Special One can look at these five players to replace him at Old Trafford.
