#1 Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint Germain)

There’s hardly a need for football fans to run down the curriculum vitae of Kylian Mbappe in order to know the player that he is. At just 19 years of age, the Frenchman has won things and achieved feats millions of us only dream about in our beds at night.

Kylian Mbappe’s exquisite footballing talents have seen him being jotted down as the potential successor to the throne of giants Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the years to come.

Mbappe has already notched 17 goals and 5 assists in 16 games for Paris Saint Germain this season. Known for his explosive pace, he is a menace to subdue to for defenders. His superb speed helps him get past his opponents in no time and more often than not. He has an impressive average of 3.2 completed dribbles per game.

Mbappe also takes 3.1 shots per game on an average. He is also good in the air and likes to cut inside and score goals. However, the one thing that Jose Mourinho needs to keep in mind that the Frenchman plays with total freedom and is deprived of defensive duties. Hence, his defensive contribution isn’t at a level the Special One might like it to be.

However, we can always bank on Jose Mourinho to instil the defensive attributes in him and there’s no doubt Mbappe will learn, given his tender age.

PSG might be forced to sell Kylian Mbappe at the behest of UEFA’s FFP rules and should they hold him out for sale, United shouldn’t hesitate in signing him. After all, he is the perfect number 7 material the Old Trafford faithful have been pining to watch, isn’t he?
