RW: Mesut Ozil (7.5/10)

From Ozil’s perspective, this was an average performance. However, many players in his position would die to call a performance like that ‘average’. He was the captain of the night, and his performance sure did show that.

He was always looking to be the anchor between midfield and attack, and he showed a number of his infamous flicks and tricks. It will be another quiet day from the English media this morning.

ST: Alexandre Lacazette (8/10)

The Frenchman won the match for his side in fine fashion. Arsenal fans have seen in the last few seasons just how great he is in any goal scoring position.

While many wouldn’t consider his situation a goal scoring opportunity, Lacazette only had one thing on his mind. He tricked the Brazilian goalkeeper into coming out for the ball, allowing him a tight angle to score from. But he still managed to curl the ball impressively, hitting the far corner of Liverpool’s goal.

LW: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (8/10)

Particularly in the first half, the Gabon international was looking to find deadly positions to exploit. The ball to him out wide was always on for Arsenal’s creators, and you best believe they gave their all to set him free.

There were a few opportunities for him to open the scoring, however, the work of Alisson denied him to take any glory.

He came off in the second half, which you could say was undeserved. Don’t be fooled by this substitution, because Aubameyang was perhaps the most lively player on the pitch.
