Juan Cuadrado 7.5/10

Juan Cuadrado was a nightmare for Cagliari throughout his 45 minutes on the field. He made 3 key passes, completed 2 accurate crosses, and even managed to score his first goal of the season. His finish was clinical and gave Juve some comfort late in the match. Performances like this should keep Cuadrado in the rotation at right wing in spite of the talent Juve has available there.

Alex Sandro 6/10

Alex Sandro didn’t make much of an impact on this match in his 24 minute appearance. His contribution mostly consisted of an interception and one inaccurate cross. It wasn’t the strongest performance, but it should keep him in form heading into Wednesday’s big match.

Andrea Barzagli 6/10

More from Serie A

Barzagli didn’t really get a chance to do much in this match. He only played 11 minutes and didn’t really need to do much during that time. He made an appearance in this match, but that was just about all he did.

Massimiliano Allegri 7/10

This match once again illustrated a major issue Juve has faced all season. Massimiliano Allegri has turned Juve into a team that holds 1-0 leads instead of trying to put away inferior competition. It cost them against Genoa and could still prove costly in the Champions League. It let Cagliari back into this match in spite of their dominance.

At some point, Juve will need to develop the killer instinct that turned Real Madrid into a champion. Destroying mid-table teams won’t make a difference to Juve’s standing in the league, but the mentality that comes with it could be the difference between winning a Champions League trophy or blowing a 2 goal lead against Bayern Munich in the round of 16 (yes, that still bothers me).

Allegri needs to get more out of this team and the fans deserve more out of the collection of talent on this team.
