There was a period of time in which it didn’t look the case, but in the end, Chelsea dominated Crystal Palace. Here are some of the best Twitter reactions…
Maurizio Sarri has got Chelsea playing the way Chelsea should. Although they shouldn’t be celebrating too hard given the opposition was Crystal Palace, the London blues put in an emphatic performance.
Their attacking philosophy was put into practice and the scintillating form of their front three (even without Hazard) came through. Sarri went with a front three of Pedro, Alvaro Morata and Willian, and all three of them looked lively. Morata picked up a brace, whereas Pedro picked up a goal and an assist.

Although, they did need to work extra hard in order to overcome their defensive flaws. Too often, Chelsea allowed their London rivals the opportunities to attack, and it prevailed when Andros Townsend ran in behind the defence to equalise.
Still, the stalemate didn’t last for long, and indeed the introduction of Hazard played its part. Within just a minute of the Belgian coming on, he found the assist for Morata’s second, and Chelsea marked their dominance one more.
There were a number of talking points. These include a few controversial offside calls, and N’Golo Kante playing in an unfamiliar role. Although it’s not the most emphatic London derby of all time, Chelsea did their best to make it worthwhile for their fans.
That said, here are some of the best reactions from Twitter…
While there’s a lot of talk about the players in which Sarri has improved, Kante is one who doesn’t fit under that category. We all know he loves to roam and pounce for the loose balls, but he’s not given the license to do that under Sarri. Let’s hope this is picked up on.

There’s only one word you can use to describe Hazard now. Wow.
This was Pedro’s best performance in a long while.
Kepa’s positioning was rather poor, and it’s something he must pick up on.
What did you make of Chelsea’s performance?
