Right Winger- Rafinha- 6/10

Rafinha came up with a faulty display ever since his first touch of the ball, which was a ball given away. The Spaniard failed to form a partnership with Luis Suarez and was also involved in spells of bad chemistry with Sergi Roberto. It was far from an ideal performance by the 25-year-old, who has otherwise been good in Lionel Messi’s position of late. Since Barcelona won, his performance was excused but would have been criticized if the result was anything but three points.

Striker- Luis Suarez- 9/10

Luis Suarez was inarguably Barcelona’s best player in the match. After scoring a hat-trick against Real Madrid last weekend, the former Liverpool striker struck two more times this weekend against Rayo Vallecano to move onto the top of the contenders for the Pichichi Award. Suarez has been basking in form since Lionel Messi’ absence and that has been a blessing for the Catalans. The fact that he has been striking the killer blows in crucial moments is even better.

Left Winger- Philippe Coutinho- 6/10

Philippe Coutinho seems to have cemented his place as the team’s left winger but was just about average in the game. The Brazil international was nowhere to be seen in the first half but did pop up with a little bit of help in the second period. Coutinho tried to cut in and go for his customary shots but was forestalled by the Rayo Vallecano defenders. Coutinho did get a few opportunities in front of goal but he fluffed those.
