When it comes to attacking options, there are many on the option. But Barcelona has eyed down their ideal guy.

FC Barcelona is loving life. They currently sit four points clear at the top of La Liga, while they recently demolished their rivals Real Madrid by a scoreline of 5-1. That said, fans are optimistic for the future, even given Lionel Messi’s short-term injury.

It’s getting to the time now where fans are eagerly anticipating the transfer window. In all honesty, there aren’t many positions which Barcelona need to strengthen, but the board are clearly hindering over their attacking line. That said, they have been linked yet again with a move for Willian, according to Metro.

More from FC Barcelona

The Brazilian has looked to be on his way out of the London club for some time now. However, given Antonio Conte’s departure, he was in no hurry to leave. Perhaps he thought that he would be one of the lucky stars under Maurizio Sarri, but he hasn’t exactly set the world alight.

When it comes to Willian, there is certainly a gem to be unearthed. It just comes down to a manager who believes in him. He’s a respectable player, and he can be his own harshest critic. Following his unimpressive World Cup stint, he has clearly been working hard to improve.

Chelsea still values him quite highly, and with good reason. However, as time ticks on, they may drop their price. Especially considering his other option is to work with Manchester United, the Chelsea board may favour him moving abroad to Barcelona.

Barcelona has no problems in their attacking line. I mean, when you have Lionel Messi, can you really have any problems? However, what this may mean, is that a star could be on their way out.

Ousmane Dembele has failed to hit the heights he should have done, whereas Malcom can’t even get a game in at the moment. It will be interesting to see how Ernesto Valverde and company go about this saga. They may even be looking for a wealth of options in the attack.
